A Fun Fall Day...
Our family decided to take advantage of this beautiful Saturday, so along with Sissy, Drew and Bennett, we headed to Uncle Bob's Pumpkin Patch in Newnan! The weather was a little cool this morning, but warmed up by the time we were out walking around! Simms and Bennett had so much fun with the pumpkins, petting the baby goats, and running around the corn maze! They each picked a pumpkin to take home (or in Bennett's case, a multi-colored curly squash). The parents took home treats as well- Uncle Bob's homeade honey, apple cider and even terra cotta pumpkins complete with hats! It was a great fall day with family! Here are just a few of the many pictures taken. Enjoy!

What I love...
Simms' curiosity about everything these days:

These feet and legs:

This little girl~more than anything:

AND...planning this sweet girl's 1st Birthday Party!! I found a great place for "vintage" invitations and here are some of the things they created for Simms' party:

Simms' Birthday Hat

Box of "flags" to go in cupcakes, thank you notecards, etc....

Party "Flag" that I am going to put in a flower arrangement (the smaller ones in the box go in the cupcakes)

Cousin Bennett's party favor~ It is a coloring book!! It has vintage color pages in it! I had one done for Simms too with the giraffe that was on her invitations and everything else I ordered!
We cannot wait for our sweet girl's birthday! I cannot believe it is 2 weeks away!

Times are changing....
Well we have officially turned Simms around in her new carseat and she loves it! There is so much more for her to see now, not to mention it is fun for us to turn around and see her looking at us (not while we are driving, of course! We would never try to sneak a peak of Sweet Simms while driving!). Her first trip in the seat was traveling to Auburn for the game Saturday (how disappointing!) and she slept so soundly on the way home late last night! I was worried she couldn't relax in this seat as much since it isn't laying back, but she doesn't mind and slept just fine!

Simms at 2 months in her infant seat~just melts my heart!

Simms on the way to church this morning~our big girl!

So much to see!
The game was fun even though we lost! Simms had a great time seeing her grandparents, Aunt Becca and Uncles Grover and Taylor, and they had her some adorable outfits for the holidays! Thanks so much!! We are so lucky to have the bus to tailgate at/in, and Simms loves crawling around on it! Luckily she also does well in the pack-n-play still so we take that along also! Here are some pictures from the game:

Happy 11 months!!

Sweet little Simms is 11 months old today! I cannot believe it! Where has the time gone? It has flown by that is for sure!
Simms is so much fun! She laughs all the time now, and can even laugh on command! Of course this results in laughter from everyone around!! And oh how vocal she has become! Dada used to be her preferred word, and now, oh yes, Mama is! She says it so clearly and each time I hear it (which is alot) I get just as excited as I did the first time I heard her say it! Other words, or attempts at words: she makes a Ba sound for Bennett and baby, and has her own word for Ellie. It is just a shriek, but very recognizable and consistent! She is starting to make an MMM sound for milk.

Guess who just had a shot?
The sweetest thing she is doing now is when we sit down to eat. Dru and I have been folding our hands to pray at lunch and dinner, and hoping she'd pick up on it, well, she has! It is so sweet! It sometimes turns into a clap, and we try to get through the blessing without laughing! She is giving huge open mouth kisses with sound effects and Dru and I compete to see who gets the most.

The flu shot hurts! I had one too and my arm is still sore!
Her eating habits are interesting! This baby, who has never been picky, wants nothing to do with anything other than baby food or her milk! No puffs, table food, etc..she turns her nose up at it all! Even ice cream! I hope this gets better!
Simms is quite the chunker! I am sure she is at or past 22 pounds now! And oh is my back/left hip feeling that! ( I need to switch hips but it is just a habit to put her on my left side). I am so ready to turn her around in the car, because the carrier is too much now! We are in the process of ordering her her new car seat!
She crawls everywhere and I am so nervous when she pulls up on things! This morning she pulled up on her own and stood there for about 15 seconds, took a few steps, then fell down! I was so excited and wished Dru had been here to see it! He cannot wait for her to walk! I know the falls will only increase after that! And yes, we had our first roll off of mommy and daddy's bed this month! And it is high! Thank the Lord she was ok! I, on the other hand, cried several times I felt so bad!

This really makes me nervous! Simms tries to do pull-ups on the shutters in her room! She is not afraid to try anything!
Separation anxiety is in full force right now! Take back the post I did about how well she was doing in the church nursery! She was, but not anymore! We have been taking her to the nursery every night this week while we went to Revival, and while it hurts me to see her cry like that when we leave, I know it is good for her to be around other babies and adults besides us. Except for those times at church, she is always with us! I know it will get better!
Simms has 2 bottom teeth, and 2 top! Don't get confused! It isn't her top front teeth. It is the 2 on either side of the front teeth! It is so funny! She looks like a kitten!

She loves Little Huggums now! This one was mine when I was little. Simms got one for Christmas but we don't play with it!
We have been blessed beyond measure with this sweet baby! I cannot believe she will be 1 in a month! It is indescribable how she has changed our lives and indescribable how much we love her! I get so emotional thinking about her turning one (I know other moms understand) but it is a good emotional! But emotional nonetheless! OK, I admit, I am one of those emotional moms! Some of her stories I cannot even read without tearing up and certain songs get me every time! I wasn't like this before her!
Simms is a precious gift in our lives! We love her so very much and are so grateful to be her parents!
