23 months

Our precious little girl is 23 months today! That means the countdown is on to her second birthday! I am absolutely amazed at how fast the past 23 months have gone by! No period of my life has flown by faster than Simms' first 2 years, which is bittersweet! Just in the last month she has grown up so much and is even putting 3 and 4 words together! It is so much fun for us to communicate with her and she gets so excited when we understand what she is saying!

We are about to take her nursery apart and get her big girl room ready, which blows my mind! She knows her baby brother is getting her crib, changing table and comfy chair for his room. She kisses my belly every night and says, "Love you Cope," and its just so sweet to us! She sleeps well but still likes to fall asleep late, and her eating is throwing me for a loop these days! She has gotten picky again but Dru isn't worried and until he does, I won't. She loves lemons, pickles, and I know, I know, french fries. She still eats broccoli, cauliflower, butter beans, chicken, spaghetti and she loves my taco soup!

We are taking in these next 13-14 weeks with our precious daughter as our only child in the house ! She has given us the best 2 years we could have ever imagined. They've been hard too, don't get me wrong, but being her parents is definitely something we both thank the Lord for every single day! We can't wait to see her as Cope's big sister!

Sadly I don't think she will be able to come to the hospital when he is born due to H1N1. They are limiting entrance into the hospital during flu season to those 18 and older. I'll have to find a way to sneak her in. I have an incredible doctor who will probably pull some strings when she sees how emotional I'll be because I miss my Simms. And speaking of H1N1, can I say I'm terrified of getting it? I am planning on getting the vaccine when it is ready. It is so dangerous for PG women! I hope people who have it will STAY at HOME and keep kids at home who have it and not come in public! Okay, off my soap box! Happy 23 months Martha Simms!

Cute belly in the post below! I see that Simms does not have her canines yet. GET READY! I don't know what kind of teether she is, but those dang canines were awful. They still haven't all broken through the skin but good grief! I think that's where the biting came from and now it's gone!

I can't wait to see both babies' rooms! I bet they will be beautiful!

I can't believe she is already 2. It does fly by. She is so sweet. I bet her 2nd birthday party is going to be so cute. You always throw the cutest parties. I've heard they arent' letting kids under 18 into hospitals to visit. That is so sad.....maybe by then things will have changed or you can sneak her in. Wait until Cope does get her, it will make Simms seem SO much bigger. It is crazy. Can't wait.
