Simms' 1st Rodeo

This weekend we took Simms to her first rodeo ~the SLE Rodeo in Montgomery. Dru has been going to this rodeo forever, and I've gone with him every year since we've known each other. Since Simms was so young last year, and the rodeo is pretty loud, we left her at Dru's parents. This year Dru was so excited about Simms going! He was convinced she was going to love it, and he was right! We took her to the Friday night and Saturday afternoon performances. She did great! Somehow she took a GREAT nap during the Saturday performance. People around us couldn't believe she slept through all of the noise! Dru's mom kept her Saturday night while Dru and I went back. Yes, if you are calculating, that was 3 performances I attended. Have to support my husband! And we even got to see our sweet friend Laura, her husband Andrew, and his twin William Saturday night! It was fun to get to sit with her and catch up! Here are some pictures from this weekend!

Simms throws her arm out like me when she runs

Checking out her Keds that Bennett passed down to her. Does that make them boys shoes, or are Keds unisex? Hmmm...

Lunch at Sam's BBQ~Delicious and a definite must when we're in Montgomery according to Dru

Watching the horses get ready for the Grand Entry, which Papa Doc rode in

Taking a nap during all of the noise. And it was SO loud!

Playing on the bus. Dru's dad had the bus parked at the Rodeo which was nice because that meant a clean restroom and clean place for Simms to play. And we got to watch the end of the AU/LSU game!

Walking with Gigi after lunch Sunday

We had a great time! Simms loved all of the attention that she got from Gigi and Papa Doc! I am sure she is looking forward to next year's rodeo!

**Simms has her appointment with the Speech Pathologist tomorrow. Please keep us in your thoughts and PRAYERS that it goes well. I am already envisioning her having a few meltdowns as this doctor forces her to eat different foods. Thank goodness Dru will be there!

Good Luck at the doctor, we will be praying for you (all). And either way girls can easily get away with wearing boy shoes, though unisex they very well may be!?
