We had such a wonderful Christmas! Simms enjoyed every part of it, from the lights and the trees, to the beautiful programs at church, and of course the presents. She really had a good understanding that Christmas is about the birth of Jesus, and was heard often saying, "Happy Birthday baby Jesus!" Just precious! We celebrated with Dru's parents a few days before Christmas. They were sweet enough to come to our house since my doctor didn't want me more than an hour from the hospital. They did way too much for me, Dru and Simms! We had a great time visiting and celebrating Christmas with them. Christmas Eve started with a beautiful church service that Simms actually sat through, and ended with communion and candlelight. So glad we were there! We then went to my Meme's, like I've done for 27 years, for a most delicious meal, presents, and of course fun, fun times! We didn't get home until after 11! Simms was almost out when we got home, and after putting out carrots for the reindeer, and milk and cookies for Santa, she went sound to sleep. Dru and I got to work, went to bed, then were up by 8:30. Simms loved her Santa gifts, especially her wonder pets fly boat and "tea party." We spent the morning with just our family of 3, which was very relaxing, then went to my Grandmother Evans' house for lunch. Simms was the center of attention there and loved it. We headed back home to rest, nap, watch Christmas movies, then went to my parents for dinner and gifts. Simms and Bennett had such a fun time. They are such good buddies and it was so fun watching them together! We had an amazing Christmas, and are so grateful for our wonderful families who love us so much! Now, it is on to the next post, which is about Cope's birthday, which is going to be TOMORROW!!!
You will notice Simms is in this Santa dress alot. She had such cute Christmas clothes but I wanted her in Santa on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. Silly me. Like she cared.

What a fun (and busy!) Christmas. I'm glad you got to spend it as a relaxed family of three. Tomorrow you'll be a family of four! Good luck tomorrow. I pray everything goes well and I hope Miss Priss gets to visit at the hospital!!
