Simms' 1st Game Day/Tailgating Experience

Simms experienced her first game day and weekend of tailgating in Auburn! She went to the A-Day game last spring, but we all know that isn't the same thing as a real game.

Dru, Simms and I loaded up Friday afternoon and headed to Auburn. We met Dru's parents, Becca and Taylor for dinner and then went and hung out at the bus for a little while. They of course had Simms some adorable new clothes which we love and appreciate! And even a cute cute Auburn cheerleading outfit!

Saturday morning we were up bright and early tailgating! Simms went to her first Tiger Walk and seemed to enjoy it! The game was a different story. Between the heat and the noise, she only lasted about 7 minutes! Luckily we are fortunate enough that Dru's parents have an incredible RV/bus that is in the coliseum parking lot within a minutes walk to the stadium, so Simms and I headed back there. As soon as I walked into that air conditioned bus and went to get a bottle ready for her, she was asleep. Poor baby! After a good nap, in which I was able to watch the game on tv and people watch out of the bus windows, she was up and ready to play! Luckily she and I missed the downpour that came out of nowhere! It was kinda fun to watch people scrambling to their vehicles! Is that bad?

We tailgated some more that afternoon and then went to dinner with Taylor and friends Beth and Bobby Huddleston and then to see their very beautiful new house. It is just a few down from Tuberville's! After getting a tour of the house, we headed home. We had a wonderful weekend and are looking forward to the LSU game in 2 weeks. Simms will be a permanent fixture at the bus I do believe as long as the games are in the afternoon/late morning! The heat was too much! War Eagle! Oh, and once again, my pictures are from my phone because SOMEONE has my memory card for my camera so they aren't that good!!

war eagle, simms!! I am not crazy about the hot games either. Just imagine when you actually go to school there and you have to stand up the entire game, and where high heels at the same time!!

i LOVE the cheerleading outfit!! TOO cute! sorry we didn't make it by the bus after the game--we were trying to get back to our tailgate before another rainstorm!
call me later so I can tell you ALL about the eventful night on lake meriwether rd that Allen & I had (thanks to redneck-fest 08, aka Jimmy's jam!!)

7 minutes...you go girl!! I don't blame her one bit, the heat is miserable, I'd want to sit in the air conditioning as well. And, if you're gonna make a 7 minute cameo at least she did it in style!!

how fun! ben and i are coming to the lsu game, but we are leaving sipsey with my mom for the weekend. it'll be our first time away from her, but i think it's a good reason! if we had a BUS(!) to rest in, she would be right there with us. y'all are so lucky!
