Simms says hello!

It's been almost 2 weeks since I updated, so I figured some pictures of Simms were needed! No excuses, we haven't been really busy. Well, I take that back ~ Dru has ~ he's been working long hours this week and we are all looking forward to going to the beach in a few weeks so he can have a break from work! Simms is as busy as a bee like always. These pictures were taken tonight at my parent's house. She was picking holly berries off of the bush (I know, they are poisonous) and calling them apples. Keep in mind they are green right now, not red, so I guess she recognizes green apples too, although I only buy red ones. She was trying to feed them to my parents basset hound, Babe, and their next door neighbor's beagle. Luckily neither dog ate them.

I had a doctor's appointment today. All went well. I am 19 weeks along (I can't believe that)! We listened to sweet baby boy's heartbeat and scheduled my anatomy scan ultrasound for this Wednesday. Also that day is my quad test (blood work) and my 1 hour glucose screening. So lots of things to pray about! Please pray with us for healthy results! I have put on 7 lbs since my first appointment in May. Not too bad according to the doctor. She looks for somewhere between 8 and 14 lbs. at this point. But 5 lbs. since last months visit seemed like a lot to me. Guess I better lay off of the fried foods. I definitely feel him moving around now, and every now and then I will feel a strong kick or punch. The sweetest thing to me is to feel him kick while I'm getting Simms to sleep in my lap. The best of both worlds!

Simms went with me to the appointment. This is the first appointment of any kind in which she has gone with me. Sissy had an appointment at the same time, so I had some back up. But I didn't need it! She was perfect and behaved so well! I was thrilled!

This is our second weekend at home since June so I am looking forward to relaxing and getting some stuff done around the house and spending some good family time with Dru and Simms!

Oh, and look at this sweet picture of our baby girl that I found on my camera:

I'll be back soon. Much sooner than last time!

Praying for you all as well! It is the best of both worlds, holding one and feeling the other. When he was strong enough that Ella could feel him on my lap she would turn around with "huge" eyes and say, "momma, baby brotha is kicking me!" Wonderful how they interact from the very beginning!

I will be thinking about you... You better be glad this little one is a boy because I don't think they get much more beautiful than Miss Simms!! Also.. have you picked a name for the new baby? (maybe you posted something and I missed it?))
