Cope is 2 weeks old today! I can't believe it's been 2 weeks. He is such a good baby. Very laid back, quite unless he is getting changed, dressed or bathed. He nurses great, and drinks his supplement very well. He is starting to wake up more, and I love seeing those big eyes open! And I have to say I probably would be struggling if I didn't have a sling. It has been a lifesaver, and he relaxes immediatley after he gets in. This was our first week with no help. First week with me at home by myself with 2. How has it been you are probably wondering? It's been an adjustment, that's for sure. My sweet Simms is having a hard time adjusting. This has made things tough for me, because I hate seeing her like this. She has shown us a personality we've never seen before, and we are hoping is only temporary. She is so sweet to Cope, it is us that she seems to be bothered by. She is going to start our church school 2 mornings a week, from 9-1 next week. I really think she needs something to do, and some other children to play with, and she hates being stuck in the house, which we've been alot! Just say a prayer for her, that things get easier. That's all I know to do about it!
Here are some pictures of Cope from this week. He really enjoys Simms' old pink Boppy seat!

He is BEAUTIFUL! I didnt expect anything less! Simms will get better with time... I will say a special prayer for her! Congratulations and keep the pictures coming! Hope you are feeling well and recovering quickly.

He is such a doll!!!! Does he have blonde hair???
And hang in the Margaret...I think all siblings go through some type of phase once the second one comes along, but it wokrs itself out. Try and find some "special" time set aside for just you and Simms...and i think Mothers Day Out will be so great for her!
He is precious and I love that fuzzy hair. I hope the transition gets easier and easier! I have no advice to give!!
Adorable. Very squeezable, is that a word? Simms will very much enjoy going to school 2 days a week. It will give her something to do and other kids her age to play with. It was a life saver with MSN. Then you will have some quality time with Cope too. You are doing great. It gets easier.
Glad we got to talk yesterday! We hope to make a trip over that way soon or either meet up at the lake if ya'll want to get out. Until then kiss those babies for me. I can't wait to love on Baby Cope again.
So cute!!
My best friend had a hard time when she welcomed #2 as her older son refused to acknowledge either parent when they held the baby. It was his way of rebelling. Her doctor said the adjustment for an older sibling often takes 8 weeks and then things become much more smooth. Hope it's even shorter for you.
