Well, I did it! Sent my sweet little girl to our church school this morning. Her sweet Daddy wanted to take her, so he came home from work, picked her up, walked her in, and helped me avoid tears! I have been praying for her all morning (and night too) that she will absolutely love it, and that this will be just what she needs! It feels so weird not having her in the house right now. I can't wait to go and pick her up. She will be going 2 days a week, from 9-1, but today I think I'll pick her up early. Dru said she did well when he walked her in. Of course, when he was walking away, she started saying, "Daddy, Daddy." I think this is just what we need though, and that way sweet Cope will get some one on one time too. Speaking of one on one time, Dru and I are taking Simms to Chuckee Cheese tomorrow. My mom is going to keep Cope, and Simms will have us all to herself! Here are some pictures of Simms this morning. She still doesn't love the camera. And a quick update from Cope's 2 week checkup- his weight was 7lbs. 9oz, so even though he isn't back up to his birth weight, he has put on 9oz since his last appointment. He was 20.5in long. Poor baby has thrush, so we got some medicine to treat that, and other than that, his doctor said he is a perfect baby!

Still waking up.

Getting annoyed with me.

Looks like Cope is going to be really fond of the camera too. Ha!

Same exact positions!

Cope fell asleep in the sling while I was vaccuming, and stayed asleep when I took the sling off!

Simms will loves school (and you will too)! Two days a week will give you so much time with Cope. Don't worry about her. I'm sad about leaving mine 5 days a week ALL DAY!
I just read the two-week post. know the adjustment is hard. Ella was GREAT the first two weeks (while my mom was here), but after that it got tougher. Her anger was never misplaced. She was always super sweet to Cale, but you could tell her frustration was with Matt and me. It is hard, but part of growing up and it does get better. Still to this day though she is like a different person when she gets one on one time with either or both of us. It's hard to share and hard to have gotten ALL the attention for so long and then have it divided, but she will be fine! At least they were both mature enough to not take it out on the baby!!
oh i am just DREADING the day we take Sam to church school for the first time. that isn't going to be for awhile, but i know I am going to be the worst. How did she like it? i am sure she did great! that is special to have the time with Cope. He is sooooo cute!!!! thinking about you!
I know she is going to love school! MSN is missing it since we have moved. I can't wait to hear about just how much she loves it.
