Our sweet basset hound, Babe, went to heaven last night. Our family has had Babe for 13 years. She was given to Sissy on our 16th birthday, from Drew (boyfriend at the time, husband now). Babe was the puppy of his basset hounds, Bo and Daisy. She was incredibly loved and will be missed so, so much. Last night was a sad night. I was already crying because Dru told me Grover and Becca were going to be putting their beloved lab Mac down yesterday (what are the odds), so I was hurting for them, because Mac is loved greatly too. And then we got the phone call about Babe. Babe was the sweetest, funniest most peculiar dog. She was always gentle and our children loved her. Sissy and I were talking about how neat it was that when we got her, we would have never believed she'd know both of our children. Babe will be missed by many and was loved by many too. She lived a very good, long life. I am so thankful she isn't suffering anymore.

Babe was a special girl and I am sorry for the loss. I can't wait to hear what Bennett has to say about it. I love to read your blog and keep up with everybody. We are all so busy these days we do not get to see one another like we should.

so sorry for your loss! please tell Becca I'm so sorry about their dog, too! we know how hard it is when you have to say goodbye to a pet--they are like one of your babies!!
So sad...they really are members of the family!
