It's Getting Closer..

Lake season that is! I can almost feel the sun and water and taste my Bud Light Lime now..aaahhhh..{then have to get out of the water to go and take care of a child}. Even though our lake days aren't as relaxing as they used to be now that we are parents to 2, I still wouldn't trade our time at Lake Martin for anything or any place! We are very fortunate that Dru's parents have such a great place to go to whenever we want! And I must say they make it as relaxing as possible for us while we are there! They are so much help with all of the kiddos not to mention wonderful hosts to us! We decided to go up this weekend, hauling the Bobcat, so that Dru could work on a project at the lake. We were all excited to get away, and spend the weekend with Gigi and Papa. Being a SAHM is such a blessing that I'd never trade, BUT, it is good for my sanity to get out of the house that I spend all week in on the weekends!

So much time in fact that I had to draw Simms a road

Simms drew lots of pictures herself


And got some time in the baby swing, which she claims she never gets to swing in anymore at home {this is true, as it is obviously occupied}

Chasing bubbles at home this afternoon

And trying to out-pedal our baby brother, very determined NOT TO SHARE with him {sense my frustration with this little girl in this area and several others right now??}

He can handle himself with her though

We had a great time this weekend and got lots of sweet fam time in! Neither of our children slept good while we were gone, so I'm hoping for an early night for them! And now it's back to the weekday grind!
