Easter Sunday 2013

We had a beautiful Easter! We spent the early morning doing fun Easter baskets before heading to church. Our service was wonderful! I have been amazed at how much Simms' comprehends about Easter, the Crucifixion & the Resurrection at this age. Between Sunday school & her preschool she's heard the stories a lot. She's also watched The Bible series with us. I am so happy she knows  that even though we do the "fun" stuff, Easter is way more than the Easter bunny and Easter eggs. We enjoyed lunch at my grandparent's house after church. It was SO good and I ate WAY too much!

The Easter bunny brought some fun spring surprises. Perfect for days spent outside!

They had fun going through their baskets and showing things to each other. Cope was beyond excited to have Mack from Cars 2 & Simms got an Easter Barbie so she was thrilled. She was also so happy to get some glittery sandals! She loves glitter and sparkle just like her mama!
