January 2014

The best way to catch up my blog is do it by months. It has been killing me how behind I've gotten!  So we left off right after Cope turned 4! The month of January consisted of:

Sweet Clarke started sitting up!

Cope still loving his Lightening McQueen cars!

Cope also started staying at school all day (his request) so we ordered him a nap mat and got him a lunchbox. My "mama heart" really was sad about him being gone all day, but my precious boy is growing up!

Simms and Cope had another great 9 weeks at FRA. Simms loves Kindergarten and in January really began reading books on her own very well! She took AR tests every morning. I loved that sweet time with her in the library.

Cope had his 4 year checkup and Clarke had her 6 month. They were both healthy, praise The Lord.

This baby, who has stolen all of our hearts, was at such a fun stage in January. We all have fun with our baby Birdie.

Clarke turned 7 months on January 20 and also got her first tooth in January!

And started eating lots of baby food! I made some and bought some. Finally just started buying all of it. I figured still nursing her was just like me "making" her food, since essentially that's what I was doing!

Simms got a precious haircut from her daddy. She is as sweet as she looks in this picture. At 6, she has the sweetest spirit. She loves school, going to Minnie's, playing in her little pretend world and taking care of her sister. She is such a big help to me!

This was the month the stomach virus reared it's ugly head in our lives. It stayed off and on for almost 2 months. No you aren't reading that wrong. It'd make its way around the house. Go away a while then come back. Awful. Cope was our first victim.

Simms celebrated 100 days of kindergarten. She had to make a shirt with 100 objects and she chose a gumball machine. We had a fun night (and a few hot glue gun burns) making the shirt. She was very proud of it!

Typical Sunday morning picture. Actually he isn't always grumpy. This particular morning he was. Ha!

We also had the first of several snow/ice storms of the winter. The kids patiently waited on the snow to fall all day. It finally began falling that night. Lots of fun for them!
