Well once summer is over that can only mean one thing.. School starts back! I'll admit I don't dread this nearly as much since I don't teach anymore, but I do get sad and have a sense of dread about giving my kids back up again to someone else for 7 hours a day. Summer days can be LONG, especially days where nothing is planned. But me and my little crew always develop our little niche and I love it. I have FOND memories of summers at home with my mama and sister and brother and all the neighborhood kids, while all our daddies worked. Almost all the moms were school teachers so they were home too. Priceless memories. Our summer was amazing and while it kind of hurt to send Simms back to start 1st grade and Cope back to start 4K, they were more than ready! Thank goodness for my Birdie at home!
Ready for 1st grade! Her teacher this year was MY kindergarten teacher. We LOVE her.
My precious boy. How is he in 4K?
Thick as thieves... but they won't admit it.
Dance started back also for Simms!
Dru and I are so blessed to be their parents. Even on the hard days!
Still loving Daddy's Jeep!
Simms worked so hard on her All About Me poster!!
Little KD legacy Clarke!
She was really getting into babies, bottles and MY jewelry as you can see.
She also turned 14 months old on August 20!
And was walking everywhere!
Cope had a great and peaceful (yes, that's a big deal) dentist appointment!
And Simms ended up with some delicious tomatoes from the plants my Grandaddy sent her. She and Dru worked hard on them!
We went to the first Auburn game! And then on to the lake for Labor Day!
