We Wouldn't Have Missed It!

Before I post about our Saturday in Auburn, let me ask you to please remember our sweet little Cope in your prayers the next few days.

He will be getting tubes early Tuesday morning. His ear infections have never been torture for him, but he has had 4 and Dru and I are just a little uncomfortable with him being on an antibiotic every other week, so Cope's ENT felt like now was the time! Plus, he's over a year now, and we really don't want his speech affected due to the fluid behind his ear drums so tubes it is! I know it's a simple procedure, but it is still a little {okay-a lot} scary for your baby to be put to sleep. I got knots in my stomach at his pre-op appointment when the receptionist said, "We have a 12 month old for surgery next Tuesday." Then she said, "OK..we will see y'all at 6:30 and take you back to OR." GULP..So, please pray for Cope {and me}!

Thank y'all!

Now on to Saturday. Despite the frigid forecast, we, being the crazy parents we are, bundled our 2 children up to sit in the stadium for a few hours and take in all the glory and pride of being NATIONAL CHAMPS! I can't act like it was so bad. Dr. Donny luckily had the bus there, and we did have a pass to drive straight to the coliseum parking lot, so there was not much walking on our part, but, my die-hard hubby did make us go in the stadium a whole hour early! That was a long hour! I'm not joking when I say these kids were in layer after layer after layer. Including Cope with pink tights under his long-all. Now tell me his parents must not love Auburn to subject him to that? Here are some pictures from our Saturday on the Plains! War Eagle!!

How great does that look on our stadium?

Cope and Papa. Love the new banners hanging around Auburn!

My bundled-up bunch!

My sweet boy {his face is so chapped today}

There he is! Love his smile!

Cam hugging Aubie!

Simms made a "tent" and she and Cope stayed under there about 15 minutes! It was pretty warm because I snuck under and caught a pic of this cutie:

Simms and I headed back to the bus early so that she could have a snack and we could get ready to watch the reverse tiger walk.

Apparently Simms and Cope's daddy and 2 grandfathers didn't think the view inside the bus was good enough, so they got on top of the bus to watch:

It was a great day in Auburn. We are so proud of our school! And our kids were up until after 10 last night because as soon as we hit the interstate they were out cold and slept the whole way home! Definetly worth it though!

I'll be praying for all of you as Cope has his tubes put in. I know everything will be just fine.

Now......WARRRR EAGLE! We were there, an hour early too! We didn't take AM though b/c she had been so sick all week. It was definitely a fun day! Wish I had thought about stopping by the bus. We didn't even walk that way, we didn't stay for Tiger Walk. We had to run home quickly b/f the basketball game. Glad y'all had a great day. Hope to see you soon. Please let me know if you're ever at a basketball game! Sorry to leave such a long comment, whoops!
