14 months

Cope was 14 months a few days ago. Time is going by too fast. My sweet baby turning more and more into a toddler and I know all too soon a little boy. So thankful for his health, and that is he indeed growing and thriving, but it is so, so bittersweet.

Our sweet 14 month old {in a shirt that is 23 years old. It was my brother, Miles'}

He still doesn't say much, except Dada, and occasionally Mama. I am trying not to stress about that, since his doctor did tell me to be prepared for him to talk later.

His appetite is slowly improving. He is off formula now, and drinking organic, 2% milk. He has the same "issues" his sister did, and whole milk just doesn't help that issue. He also gets Mirilax once a day to further help that situation.

He plays hard all day long. Some days he will nap two times, but most days he takes just one, 2-2.5 hour nap.

He bites. And Simms has been his victim the past 2 times. And let me just tell you {she may or may not have deserved it} BUT, the look of pain on her face let me know how bad it was. He broke the skin. And left a bruise. Both times. I am hoping this is just a phase, and that it is just a coincidence he has chosen Simms to bite {although I am not holding my breath}.

He is fearless. Walking straight off of his little chair because it is fun, over and over. Dunking his head underwater in the tub, then coming up laughing. This world of little boy is so different from a little girl. So I am having to learn fast. My eyes are rarely off of him.

He is so very sweet and loving. And cuddles and hugs. And kisses. Things Simms has little interest in. So I eat that up.

We are so blessed to have this little boy in our lives. So grateful for him.

And Simms has started saying the word "y'all" and it cracks me up.

She's been pretty obsessed with giraffes lately too. I don't know if they've been doing something with them at school, but today she wanted to make one. So I cut one out and some spots out and told her to make one.

Her end product {kinda funny and bizarre..the eyes and nose she had drawn on ended up covered in spots too} but it is precious and hanging up now.

My crafty girl. She was 3 years and 4 months yesterday. Like I said, time is going by so fast. She is my little shadow, who is becoming more and more of my little friend throughout the day, and not just my little girl. I love that. And I love her, so much.

We are off to Clermont tomorrow to visit with Dru's family. We can't wait! Be back soon!

Don't worry Cale doesn't say much either, at least that you can understand. Unlike Ella who was giving me instructions at 18 mos. old. They're just different. It's hard adjusting to such EXTREME differences;)

He is getting so big. He doesn't need to say much with a big sister who can say things for him.. ha ha. They are both precious. I think that MSN and Simms would be great friends. MSN loves to be crafty too.
