To Florida and back

We just made a trip to visit Dru's family in Clermont for a few days. It was a wonderful time, and every single one of Dru's family members were there! Lots and lots of laughs, good eating, fun time with aunts, uncles, cousins and Pah. Dru's family is very tight-knit even though not everyone lives in the same town. They are so much fun and we always love going down for a visit!I am so glad that all of Pah's great grandbabies were able to spend some time with him too! Please keep sweet Pah in your prayers.

Simms and Lilla-squeaky clean organists

And Cope entertained himself with anything

These 3 were so happy to be together again

And so happy to go back to this park {which Dru grew up going to as well}

Lots of swinging, sliding and running free

And playing by the water

Time spent with cousins {these are all of Dru's cousins and their children. Braxon belongs to Austin and Ali, Cope and Simms and Lilla}

Cope and his 3rd cousin, Brax

Of course heading to Clermont means at least 6.5 hours in the car {with babies} but it is worth the trip.I am thankful for safe travels {you know, I've told y'all I tend to worry..traveling down I-75 is no exception}. We usually drive down after Dru gets off work so the kiddos can sleep most of the trip down, and we drive back during the day. This was Simms' fifth trip down and Cope's 3rd! Now the trip down was a breeze but the trip home yesterday was a little challenging. Neither of my children napped {yes..7 hours in the car and they never slept}. This meant Simms talked and talked and talked and Cope babbled and babbled and babbled {but I guess that beats crying}. Simms is fixated on tornadoes right now. As in that is all she wants to talk about. I swear we spent an hour straight talking about them and looking up pictures on my phone. I could feel my patience wearing thin, but then I reminded myself this is how she learns, so we discussed and discussed some more.

I am so glad we made the trip and me and my 2 babies are taking it easy today. For some reason even though I am sitting in the car, long car trips wear me out. We are gearing up for a busy March too. We have out of town commitments every weekend but one, including watching Dr. Donny participate in Dancing with the Celebrities for the American Cancer Society. He's worked hard on his moves. Whew. Tired already.

So fun that all the cousins got to be in one place at one time. That rarely happens in our family, I know it was a fun time.

What an AWESOME park!! Looks like you guys had a fun trip:) Matt's family lives about 8 hours away so I feel ya on the car rides...there is something very different about questions in the car as opposed to any other day;)

THANK YOU for your prayers. I really appreciate it so much, and I have felt very prayed for;)

And I can totally relate to the non-stop questions and babbling. Ada is into bones and muscles, and we have to look those things up, and there are times that I am just NOT IN THE MOOD. 7 hours in a car is a long time to deal with that:)

your children--and their clothing--are so cute!! I am jealous of those smocked outfits:)
