Jack-o-Lantern, Jack-o-Lantern

We finally carved our pumpkin. The pumpkin that came from the grocery store. Today. You read it right..there was no fun trip to the pumpkin patch this year. But GUESS WHAT?? Simms and Cope had just as much fun carving our store bought pumpkin as they would have with a pumpkin patch find {or so I tell myself). And I am so glad. Poor Cope. He's never been to a "real" pumpkin patch. Guess he knows no better. We had lots of fun tonight carving our pumpkin. Cope was a little leery of the gooey pumpkin insides but Simms loved reaching in and cleaning our pumpkin out. And just like every other year, I volunteered to take the pictures while Dru did the dirty work :)..

{our oven stopped working about an hour after he played around with it..coincidence? probably not}






{we baked, or attempted to bake, our seeds..since our oven stopped working we had to broil them..and they are delicious still. we used cajun seasoning, which ended up in Cope's eye, garlic powder, sea salt and olive oil}
