A BIG weekend..Simms' 4th Birthday Party & an Engagement

What a fun weekend this has been! Busy..but FUN and HAPPY! We had Simms' 4th birthday party today, and last night, my brother Miles and his girlfriend Katy got engaged! We are so very happy for them! Starting with today..







Simms wanted this to be at her party SO badly..{and I think that is Sissy scooting out of the bouncey..hmmm}..all of Simms' friends had lots of fun bouncing with her

We sang and ate cupcakes and celebrated Simms! I can't believe she will turn 4 on Tuesday! Time surely does fly!



This sweet boy spent most of the party napping..he took a nasty fall in our driveway before the party started and wore himself out crying..you can see his poor little boo boos on his face..
Thank you to everyone who came to the party! Simms had so much fun!

And now to the other big event of the weekend..the engagement. I had known for a few weeks this was coming up..so it's been super hard being around Katy and not acting funny. I knew this summer when I heard her describing her dream ring {gold, round diamond, diamonds surrounding it} that it wouldn't be long. I guess Miles was listening, because he popped the question at sunset yesterday at the farm, here to be exact..

After he asked her and she said YES they headed back down to Sissy and Drew's house where all of their families and some friends were waiting..

We finished up the evening watching the AU game {Simms was in AU and enjoyed a spend the night party on the bus with Lilla}..it was a wonderful evening, and we are so happy for Miles and Katy. They began dating in high school, dated for several years, took a few "breaks" and have been through a lot together. We are so thankful the Lord's plan for these two included them finding each other again. They are a sweet, sweet couple and we look forward to their engagement and wedding! We love ya'll!
