Making our Advent "Wreath"

Last night we carried on a tradition of our family's, participating in our church's Advent night. I guess that is what I should call it. We basically make an advent wreath as a family to have at our house this Advent season. It is so much fun and something I look forward to every year. This year, our super creative and talented children's director added a neat twist to the traditional wreath. You will see in the pictures. I LOVE it. Simms had so much fun. This crafting stuff is right up her alley. Cope was wild and didn't participate much. He did put away about 30 pickles during dinner beforehand. But after that he wanted to run.

so happy to spend the evening with Bennett

Good grief I love that boy. He wears me out to the point of utter exhaustion by night time. I don't even think I can explain to people how busy he is. Non stop all day long. I LOVE him and all that little boy energy.

This picture cracks me up. Our children's director Julie is explaining how to assemble our advent wreaths, and Cope is trying so hard to reach it. It looks like he is raising his hand. And then there is studious little Bennett, truly paying attention like a good boy.

Don't you love that creative take on the traditional wreath? I'm gonna love having that on my table!

She loved glittering her votives.

Our finished product, ready to take home
