Cope's Baptism

Cope was baptized yesterday. It was such special, significant day in his life and ours. He had over 19 family members there to take part in this special occasion in his little life, and most everyone joined us back at our house for lunch afterwards. It was a wonderful day, and my heart is still smiling. We love this precious boy so much and thank the Lord for his life!

Cope wore an antique gown that Mrs. Lil gave Simms for her baptism, so it is very special to us.

Best family picture that we could get:

This little girl did so well in "big" church:

Even when he joined her:

Pictures from the service:

Cope was baptized out of the loving cup that belonged to his great, great grandfather Evans. I was baptized out of it, as were all of my cousins, and Simms as well. Dru and I took communion from it during our wedding ceremony, so it is a very special loving cup.

Pictures from the lunch afterwards. It was delicious. I pulled out all of my fine china, silver and crystal. I couldn't have pulled off lunch for 20 without all of the help- so thank you family! And PLEASE notice the beautiful flowers. Mrs. Lil did all of them! She is so talented! The flowers really added a special touch!

Pictures with some of the family at the lunch:

Sweet Cope was tired after such a long day and cozied right up with his praying lamb from Lilla:

And I have to show you the adorable gift Dru and I gave Cope for his baptism. I ordered it from Baby Be Blessed. We gave Simms one too. I think they are so sweet, and special, and hopefully one day their children will have it. You choose your own scripture verse for the doll/bunny/lamb. I thought the bunnies were precious!
