..supposed to be today, but we ended up at the ped on Thursday for awful allergies. After his "sick visit" she so kindly let us do his "well visit" too.
We've had runny noses and allergy shiners for far too long. Mama said that's enough! So off we went to see what we could do about it. The solution= the prescription version of zyrtec {got this today after searching for children's zyrtec all over and not being able to find it} a dose of singular each day and 2 squirts of flonase everyday. He's got allergies bad! And living among tons of pine trees full of pollen isn't helping! But we are getting it fixed {I hope} and because nothing serious was wrong, we were able to do vaccines and his checkup.
His stats: 26 lbs 13 oz {78%} and 32 in {73%}. Big. Squishy. Wonderful.
We discussed his picky eating. She suggested V8 Fusion instead of apple juice. Childproofing our house {this was never an issue with Simms} and getting rid of the bottle {here we go again}. His vocabulary {or lack thereof} was discussed and she put that into a whole new perspective for me. She told me to think of these past few weeks since his last ear issue {surgery to fix the right tube} as him being able to hear for the first time! Sad. But encouraging for me! Then of course his chunky thighs were the targets for a few vaccines. But his lovin' was so sweet after the nurse was done and I picked him up! I love this boy so much! I seriously had one of those moments in the car tonight when I looked back at him and was so thankful and grateful that I get to experience the world of a little boy. It is amazing. And because he was such a trooper {I literally had him in his umbrella stroller rolling him out of his sick visit when the nurse told me Dr. Y said to just keep him there and save on another co-pay by doing his well visit then too} and his snack was postponed for shots we had to get a little happy for our beach trip this week:
Those precious, fat feet {6 WW} make me laugh and smile

How precious is he?!! And the V8 fusion is great, that's what AM lives off of, well that and milk. She won't eat, ever, but she survives on fruit/veggie juice and milk! I hope the allergies get under control, AM's got them bad too. Thank goodness for Zyrtec!! Good luck, and have fun at the beach, we're headed to Destin this weekend.
Bless his heart with all of those allergies--those are all the medicines I take:) I can't imagine my little John having to deal with these allergies!! Good to hear about the V8 Fusion. I bought some of that this week to give to John, so I am glad to hear a doctor say it's a good idea. John still gets no fruits or vegetables ever.
oh squishy and wonderful indeed. chubby extra wide baby feet + sandals = perfection
This is too funny, and all too familiar! We didn't baby proof AT ALL with Ella. Cale needs a cage, not that he couldn't get out of it;) And, since his tubes his vocabulary has increased significantly, so that should give you some encouragement.
He looks like Simms in a few of those pictures.
Oh my goodness I am so glad you appreciate those sweet squishy fat feet because they look just like my boys feet did....and now I miss them so so so much. Oh he is so cute!
