You turned 5 months old while we were at the lake this weekend. You were such a sweet boy all weekend! Here's what is going on at 5 months:
You sleep great and are no longer swaddled
Take 2 long naps
Love being outside
Love to be read to

You are in your last box of size 2 diapers before we switch you to 3's {your 2.5 year old sister wears size 4's by the way}
You have found your feet
You have almost completely mastered holding your own bottle including picking it up and finding your mouth
You nurse about 4 times a day and take formula the rest of the time
We still haven't started you on cereal

If I don't comb your hair down after your bath it dries in a mohawk
You have a precious little dimple on the left side of your bottom lip {I call it my honey pot}
You want to sit up so badly and try to every time we lay you down
You have started getting in the jumparoo

We think you are about to cut a tooth {good thing Sophie the giraffe is on her way}
You are so laid back and easy

We are so grateful you were part of the Lord's plan for our family. A son for us and a brother for Simms. It doesn't get any better than that!
Dear Simms,

You were 31 months old yesterday! That sounds old doesn't it? Maybe its seeing 31. You are quite the feisty 2.5 year old! Here are some of the things that are going on at 31 months:
You are on a break from school for the summer
That means mama has to get REAL creative. Technically its the first time since Cope was 3 weeks that we've all been home together all day everyday during the week. Its going well so far. I worry you'll get bored but we've had a good 2 weeks so far
You learned so much during the 4 months that you went to His Kids and you can't wait to go back
You play school and house
You play like you are the nursery workers at church and I am the baby
You tell me, "its OK sweetheart. Your mommy is in Sunday school. Don't be sad." Hilarious. I have to hold in my laughter

You love to sing
You've had one visit to the ER from falling backwards 3 ft onto concrete and landing on the back of your head
I am so thankful the Lord was protecting you that night
You swim everyday and it wears you out
You HAVE to do everything BY YOURSELF {I'll be honest, this really tests my patience}

You take a good afternoon nap
That is still our special time. I get Cope situated and its just me and you until you fall asleep
You'd live on ketchup if we'd let you

Your heart belongs completely to your daddy and that OK with me
You love playing the piano at Meme's on Sunday
You LOVE your scooter from Meme and Grandaddy {obviously}
You can tell us all of your grandparent's first and last names and where they live

You are an incredible girl. A HUGE piece of our hearts.
