Simms and Dru get some great daddy-daughter time in the early evening hours. Cope likes to be asleep around 8:00, so his process starts around 7:15ish. Dru is so helpful during this time by playing with Simms, taking her on Ranger rides, swinging, etc. She needs this time with him. It is so important, since she is with me all day, that they have their special times too. Tonight I caught them playing with the hose as they tried to revive our poor, poor hydrangea bushes (we've tried Mrs. Lil, really we have). Before the real fun began. And this sweet one is trying his hardest to sit up! (Sorry for the poor picture quality, taken with my phone).
Oh my goodness, your babies are beautiful! It was a "beach club" SBTB episode, by the way. You know the one with Stacy Carosi. I am on the fence about the beach club episodes, as I am partial to Zack and Kelly as a couple and dont like it when the writers stray from that storyline. Whatever happened to the 3:30 TBS weekday lineup when you could watch Brady Bunch, Saved by the Bell, and California Dreams. The good old days! We are going to have to buy our kids the SBTB box set.
Dru and I met as students at Auburn University. We began dating in April 2001. We made so many wonderful memories during our time together at Auburn. We got engaged on March 23, 2004 and we were married on April 2, 2005. How lucky I am to be married to him! We have two incredible blessings in our lives- Martha Simms Goodwin, who was born on November 1, 2007 and Copeland Evans Goodwin, who was born on December 30, 2009. We are so grateful for these two! And I cannot forget our dog, a WILD German shorthair pointer, Ellie. I am now a stay at home wife and mama after 3 years of teaching elementary school and I love every minute of it!
